MUSEUM - Introduction

The Egyptian Museum of Barcelona is unique in Spain.

It has a monographic collection on Ancient Egypt that is one of the best in Europe. It has around one thousand exhibits on show that give a good idea of the life and customs of one of Egypt’s most ancient civilizations.

The Museum is opened 362 days a year, from Monday to Saturday between 10:00 and 20:00 hours (it does not close at midday), and on Sundays between 10:00 and 14:00 hours.

The Museum has over 2,000 square meters distributed in three main exhibition areas. One of them holds temporary exhibitions; lecture rooms and a library. It also has a shop and offers the assistance of museum guides.
